Organic Musang King Durian
The Organic Musang King Bond offering was issued May 1st, 2023 via the company’s Sustainable Agroforestry Securitisation Fund which was organised in 2022.
The company has allocated 2,500 Organic Musang King Durian Trees via United Tropical Fruits SDN. BHD. , its subsidiary company in Malaysia to secure this offering.
2,500 Organic Musang King Durian trees have been planted in 2021 to 2023 at United Tropical Fruits Pahang plantation in Malaysia. These trees will be audited during the final quarter in late 2023.
The investment term is for 12 years, with the option of an early exit at year 4. If the investor does not exercise the early exit option they will receive a 20% Capital Uplift Bonus upon maturity. Years 1 to 4 pays 4.78%, years 5 to 10 8.88% and years 10-12 pays 12.88%.
Mango
An asset-backed bond with 14,000 Mango trees used as security against the capital invested. The bond pays a quarterly fixed-dividend throughout the 8 year-term and at maturity bond holders can expect a 10% capital bonus based on the amount of capital that is invested. The 14,000 Mango trees are located at the only PEFC registered Mango plantation in Thailand with the plantation also being audited by BDO Auditors, who ensure the security collateral is in place. The plantation has insurance for replanting if required from a large grade A insurance company and the bond has been accredited Green Bond status based on the SPO from Sustainalytics, part of the Morning Star group.
14,000 Mango trees have been planted in 2022/23 at Plantations International’s Kanchanaburi plantation in Thailand. These trees have been confirmed at the location during the June, 2023 audit from BDO Auditors in Thailand.
The investment term is for 8 years, with the option of an early exit at year 3. if investor does not exercise the early exit option they will receive a 10% Capital Uplift Bonus upon maturity. Years 1 to 3 pays 6.58% Fixed returns paid quarterly, Years 4 to 8 pays 8.87% Fixed returns paid quarterly.
